Hi, I'm Winnie, and I’d be a ‘Win-y’ for any family!

My foster family says that if ‘ideal companion’ was a dictionary entry, my picture would be right there with it! Well, maybe a couple of my pictures.  My adorableness has been very well documented by my foster family! They can’t say enough good things about me, and beware that if you ask to see a picture, they’re going to show you an album!

In addition to being highly photogenic, everyone I meet says what an awesome personality I have! I’m super snuggly, waggy, licky, loving, happy and fun! I love being with my people, meeting new friends, and spending my time making sure everyone feels the Winnie love.  Snuggles are my specialty, and one of the funniest things I do is nuzzle my head into my foster mom until I achieve the optimal upsidedown, downward-dog cuddle position.  I moonlight as a contortionist, all in the name of showing my people I love them!

I’m a good listener, fast learner, and I love to train and practice tricks.  I know ‘sit’, ‘stay’, ‘down’, ‘off’, ‘drop-it’, ‘crate’, ‘out’, ‘leave it’, ‘heel’, and ‘come’.  Pretty smart, right?? I love treats, so training me with is easy! I can’t wait to learn lots more with my forever family! I’m also totally potty trained, and I love my crate! I sleep in there really well overnight, and think its the ideal spot to lounge away lazy afternoons too!

Something I’m working on is being comfortable staying home alone.  I’ve made so much progress working with a professional trainer, and practicing everyday with my foster family.  It's still not my favorite thing, but I can be by myself now for a few hours without getting too upset.  I’ll do great in a family who is committed to helping me continue to practice that!

Besides eating snacks and getting pet, my favorite thing to do is play!  I love all my toys, and I’m a big fan of bones and chews, and playing tug and fetch, except for the part where I bring the ball back.  Actually, I mostly love ‘you throw the ball and I’ll run around in a circle with it’.  Have you played that before? Its so fun, I can teach you!!  I’m the best ever running buddy, and I’d be a great fit for a family who likes an adventure.  Put me in coach! Hiking, swimming, camping, running errands, I’m up for it all! I’m also very dog-friendly, and love to chase and jump and wrestle with all my doggy buddies at the park, or daycare.  I’m always making new friends!  I’d love a forever family where I had a sibling, canine or human! Being an only child would also be awesome though, because then I’d get all the attention and snacks!

All that to say, I can’t wait to be someone's co-pilot, and share all the love I have to give with my new family! If you’re looking for a sweet, smart, silly, and shockingly cute pup to add to your pack, here’s the skinny; You need Winnie!
