Hi, I’m Winchester and I’d be a win for any family!
My foster mom says that I’m the easiest pup she’s ever cared for, and she’s fostered a lot of dogs!
I’m a super mellow, happy boy who just wants love and snuggles!
My foster family thinks I would be a great match for someone who works full-time, because I love my crate, and I’m content to spend most of my time relaxing.
Though I’m a laid back puppy, I do like to go for walks, and sniff all the sniffs! After I come back inside, energized by the fresh city air, I tend to get a 10 minute energy spurt. During these brief spells, I like to chew on my bones, and play with my toys. All that activity is pretty exhausting, so once I’m done, I head to my crate for another restorative snooze. My foster mom thinks that my self-regulation is better than most humans! If I get tired, I’ll stop mid-play session to take a nap!
My foster family describes me as a “happy on the sidelines” kind of guy, because I like to take my time to observe new situations before I get involved. I can be shy with new people, and I’d rather watch other dogs play from afar than get involved myself. My foster mom thinks that once I’ve settled in a bit more (after all, I only just got to D.C.!), I might be more interested in playing. As it is, I’m a super polite guy. When I meet other dogs on a walk, I always give them a friendly sniff, and if I get barked at by another dog, I don’t bark back.
So that’s me, Winchester! I’m a peaceful, gentle guy who would love a family who appreciates my calm nature and loving spirit. If you think we’d be a good match, apply to adopt me today!
