Hi, I'm Toby! I am a happy and smart pup with great obedience skills. I'm a Saluki from Qatar and have been described as a 'regal' pup. I have a classic sighthound personality, which means I can be pretty independent but do love to check in for ear scratches and snackies. I love to go on walks and could also be a great running buddy (if you are into that). I am super fast and love chasing balls or running around the yard (if you have one). I've mastered my leash skills and make for a quiet companion in the house.
While I prefer to be the only dog in the home and engage with my people vs playing with other dogs, I'm great out and about. Going for hike? Meeting friends at a local brewery? Road trip anyone? I'm your guy! I make a great work-from-home pal but am also totally content to hang in my crate while you are at the office. At home, I like to curl up in a ball to snuggle on the sofa or nap on my dog bed nearby.
I've already been through training so I know a ton of commands and I would love to be in a forever home where I can keep showcasing my skills! I know all the important ones like sit, down, place, crate, stay, come, and heel. I am also crate and potty-trained.
While I love to run and play, I'm not a great 'dog park dog' because I get overstimulated. I could live in a home with another dog my size but would need to be monitored and use the crate or baby gates for breaks and space. I can go for walks with my foster's pup just fine.
