Hi all! I’m Red, a sweet and playful companion with a heart full of love for walks, chew toys, and making new friends—both furry and human. I find joy in cuddling and cherish being close to my people or fellow dogs in the household. However, I have a sensitive side; surprising loud noises and aggressive movements make me seek comfort by cowering or hiding behind my loved ones.
I've been described as a sweet and patient girl who adores meeting new people. My affection extends to children, and I've proven to be a gentle companion to a bossy chihuahua mix in my foster family. Whether it's curling up next to you while you work or getting cuddles from a 9-year-old, I am crate-trained, house-trained, and a quiet love bug. I could be a wonderful addition to any family!
In terms of training, I'm in need of a bit more guidance. While I respond well to my name, mastering basic commands is still a work in progress. Rest assured, I am housetrained, ensuring a smooth and clean living environment.
I have a variety of preferred activities, including long walks, short walks, playtime with other pups, and the occasional cozy moment as a couch potato. My energy level is generally low to moderate, adapting well to a calm household, but I believe I would thrive even more with increased exercise.
My daily routine includes morning walks, quality time with my foster family and dog companion, mid-afternoon naps, play sessions with kids, and evening bonding. I conclude my day with a final toileting walk before spending the night in my crate. No yard is necessary for me, making me suitable for various living environments.
I am a quiet companion, adding a serene presence to any home. My positive traits include being crate trained, enjoying toys, being playful, timid/shy, affectionate, eager to please, even-tempered, gentle, and overall a great family dog.
I am compatible with apartment living and suitable for first-time dog owners. Consider inviting me into your home for a delightful blend of sweetness, playfulness, and companionship. I'm ready to share my heart with a loving family!

Dislikes:

My ideal home:
I would love to join a family where someone is home at least part of the work week and/or there's another dog because I’m very affectionate and like to be around other people and/or other dogs. I would be okay in an apartment or house without an enclosed yard as long as I gets several walks per day. I would probably thrive in a household where I get a moderate level of exercise.
