I'm ready for my new family!

Pixie

I'm Available

Hi! I'm Pixie. As you can see, I’m a real cutie! I’m a friendly and easy-going pup who gets along well with other dogs and is doing great with house training. I’m also a big fan of my crate—it's my cozy spot to relax and unwind.

I do well in the car and am happy to go for a ride when it’s time to head out. And if you’ve got a lap, I’ve definitely never met one I didn’t like—I love snuggling up with my humans!

I’m not much of a barker, and I prefer to quietly enjoy the company of my family. If you're looking for a sweet and affectionate companion, I could be the one for you!

The nice folks at RDR will update my profile when they learn more about me. I cannot wait to find a forever home where I can share all the love I've got to give.

Pixie tested positive for heartworm and will need to undergo treatment once they arrive in the DMV, either while in foster or once they are with their adopter. RDR will cover the cost of the heartworm treatment through our vet partner. If the adopter would prefer to complete treatment at their vet, RDR will reimburse up to the treatment cost through our vet partner. During treatment, they need restricted exercise to short leashed walks only, and they need a fairly quiet home where they aren’t going to be overstimulated too much. Once the treatment is complete and they get the all clear from the vet, they will be able to live a totally normal/unrestricted life like any other dog. Dogs should be retested 9-12 months after treatment is completed and every year afterwards as part of their annual exam.
