I'm ready for my new family!

Hi there! I’m Peaches — a 4-year-old, 45-pound hound mix with soft ears, soulful eyes, and a heart full of love. If you're looking for a dog who's equal parts cuddle bug, hiking buddy, and squirrel patrol officer, I might be your girl.

I love my walks — especially when I get to sniff everything in sight or explore a good hiking trail. I’ve got a pretty great zoomie game (mornings and late afternoons are prime time), and I run like the wind when I get the chance! But don’t worry — I’m not one of those dogs who needs to sprint every day to be happy. A few nice walks, some yard time, and I’m good to go.

I’m also a big fan of tug-of-war, the occasional half-hearted game of fetch (I kinda get it, but let’s not make it a thing), and antagonizing squirrels from a safe distance. When I’m not adventuring, you’ll find me sprawled out on the softest surface I can find — beds, rugs, dog beds, couches, etc. My favorite treats include peanut butter Kongs and bully sticks, and while I’m not a big licker, I am affectionate and love a good cuddle session.

I’ve been living in a home with a yard and people who work from home, and that’s worked well for me. I’m adjusting to some recent changes, but I think I could do well without a yard as long as I get out for regular potty breaks and sniffy walks. I’m crate trained and pretty chill on my own — you can leave me alone for 5–6 hours (7 is a stretch, but we can make it work if needed). I nap in my crate and sleep there too.

I also go to doggy daycare a couple of times a week and love it — so I seem to do well with other pups. I like most people I meet, and kids don’t bother me either.

One thing you should know about me: I have a condition called Immune Mediated Hemolytic Anemia (IMHA). It sounds intense, but don’t worry — I’m not on any long-term meds right now, and I live a normal life! It just means I need to be careful about vaccines (lower doses, spaced out, sometimes with meds to help my body out), but your vet can help you keep me safe and healthy.
