Hi there! I'm Lola, your perfect pint-sized companion with a heart as big as my appetite! I may weigh less than 5 pounds, but don't let my size fool you—I've got a lot of love to give and an adventurous spirit to share.
I absolutely adore attention, snuggles, and walks, especially when it means I get to explore the great outdoors with my favorite human. Fetch with plush toys is my jam, and there's nothing better than curling up in your lap for a cozy nap. Blankets are a must, and I'll make sure they're warm and well-loved.
While I'm not a fan of other dogs, peanut butter, or baths, I promise to make up for it with my charming personality and loyalty. I might be a bit shy with new people, but give me some time, and I'll form a close bond with you as long as you shower me with love and affection.
I'm fully potty trained, but my tiny bladder requires access to a pee pad inside to avoid any embarrassing accidents. Don't let my small stature fool you—I'm smart and motivated to learn, especially if it means pleasing my favorite person. Just keep me entertained, or I'll let you know when I need some attention.
I've outgrown the puppy phase, so no worries about me being mouthy or nippy. I'm a fast learner, having picked up sit and down quickly, and with a consistent owner, I'll nail those impulse control commands like stay and place in no time.
I'm looking for a special someone who works from home or is retired, someone who can give me the time and attention I crave. I'd probably do best as the only pet in the home, ensuring I get all the love and cuddles. If you're ready for a tiny adventure buddy or a little princess to pamper, I'll adore you forever in return. Let's make memories together in our forever home!
My foster guardian says:
“Lola is a very sweet tiny companion - she's small enough to take pretty much anywhere, and she'd love to join you on all your adventures!”

My ideal home:
Lola would do well with someone who works from home or is retired and can spend a lot of time with her. She probably would do best as the only pet in the home. Fortunately she's so small that she would do great even in the smallest apartments!

Lola tested positive for heartworms and will need to undergo treatment once they arrive in the DMV, either while in foster or once they are with their adopter. RDR will cover the cost of the heartworm treatment through our vet partner. If the adopter would prefer to complete treatment at their vet, RDR will reimburse up to the treatment cost through our vet partner. During treatment, they need
restricted exercise to short leashed walks only, and
they need a fairly quiet home where they aren’t going to be overstimulated too much. Once the treatment is complete and they get the all clear from the vet, they will be able to live a totally normal/unrestricted life like any other dog. Dogs should be retested 9-12 months after treatment is completed and every year afterwards as part of their annual exam. For more information on heartworms click here:
