Hi, I’m Jethro, but everyone calls me by my alter-ego name, Aero! (Yes, Aero after the chocolate bar, because I’m sweet and…maybe a bit air-headed).
My foster mom tells everyone that I’m the most gentle, quiet, laid back boy. I’d be the perfect companion for someone who knows the art of relaxing at home, because my favorite place to be is curled up in my crate or on the couch! I spend most of my day snoozing and helping my foster mom work from home by keeping watch out the window. I'd be the perfect pup for someone who likes to sleep in, because I prefer a slow start to my days, and I'm always happy to have a morning lie-in.
Since I spent some time as a stray, I’ve learned that the world is a big, scary place, and that hiding is sometimes the best course of action. My foster mom is my favorite human because I know she is safe, and I'm my silliest self when we're at home together! I love to run around the apartment with my squeaky toys, play-wrestle with her, and give lots of hugs and kisses. I'm a bit more shy on walks, but I'm practicing being brave every day, and my foster mom says my leash skills have improved ten-fold since I first moved to the city! So, if you catch me on a shy day, please don't write me off! Once I get to know you, I promise you'll see my playful side too!
One thing I'm not shy about is playing with other dogs! I love the dog park so much, and I'm a friend to everyone I meet on walks. I'm my happiest when I'm getting to run around with my canine buds! We love to run and chase and play with toys together! I've done great living with doggy foster siblings, and I'd be happy to join a family with other dogs, or to be an only child.
If you’ve heard that hounds can be chatty, think again! My foster mom says I’m the quietest dog she’s ever met. This, along with my…unique love for elevator rides makes me the perfect pup for apartment living! I’d also be a great fit for anyone who works in the office, since I love my crate and don’t mind spending time alone with my thoughts and a yummy bully stick. I'm a little shy about taking treats from humans, but I do love a snack, and I get super excited when its breakfast or dinner time!
One of my cutest traits is how gentle I am with my toys. My favorite toy is a squirrel dressed up as Santa Claus, and I like to bring it with me from bed to bed as I move snooze spots around the house. I love to be cozy, and I take great care to arrange my multiple blankets, toys, and pillows in my crate before I go to sleep for the night (check out the pic of me gathering all my toys together in my crate for bedtime!). When you adopt me, you also get a professional interior decorator. Bonus!
Now, rumors have been spread that I “don’t know any tricks” and “may not be the brightest bulb on the tree”. My lawyer has prepared a statement on this defamation of character. Ahem. “Per the Perfect Puppy bylaws that govern our fine nation, the defendant, hereafter known as Aero, is a certified Good Boy ™. His behavior in all regards is so exemplary as to exempt him from trick expectations often assigned to pet dogs. His status as a ‘perfect angel baby’ is not to be debated, and the public at large will in the future refer to him as such, and never again question his intelligence or wonderfulness”. Does that clear things up? Bottom line, I’m amazingly well behaved, so it doesn’t really matter that I don’t know any tricks! Plus, I occasionally sit when asked. So what more could you really want?
