I'm ready for my new family!

Hi, I'm Hogan! I’m a sweet, cuddly guy who’s always ready to brighten your day. Whether you need a soft place to land after a long day or a buddy to make you laugh with my playful spirit, I’m your guy. I’ve got a mellow side too, bringing just the right balance of fun and calm wherever I go. The staff and visitors have all fallen in love with my friendly, gentle nature — and I can't wait to share that love with a forever family of my own.

Recently, I got to go on a little adventure and had a two-hour outing that showed off just how adaptable and lovable I really am. I wasn’t super interested in hopping into the car (maybe I'm still figuring out what all the fuss is about), but once we started walking around , I really shined. I walk nicely on leash and rarely pull—unless I spot another dog up close, which can get me excited and a bit fixated. From a distance though, I handle it like a pro! I also did great with kids running nearby and wasn’t bothered by city noises, making me a good fit for apartment or city living.

While I didn’t get any treats on this outing, I was totally happy being rewarded with pets and praise (I do love attention!). However, I am also food motivated, so once those treats come out, my training could really take off. I already know my name and have nice leash manners, but I’m still learning other commands—nothing a little consistency and kindness can’t fix!

I did great with other dogs at the shelter, and I’d fit in well with a variety of households—whether you're active and always on the go, or prefer a more laid-back vibe. I’m just looking for someone to love, and I have so much love to give.
