WASHINGTON D.C. BREAKING NEWS: WORLD’S BEST PUPPY AWARD HAS BEEN ANNOUNCED
Hi! I’m Heidi, and this just in! I’m officially the world’s best puppy!!
I’m super honored to win this very official, and definitely not made-up award, but I must admit, it is deserved!
Everyone I meet, from my foster mom to our neighbors, to random people on the street says that I’m the cutest, sweetest, most well-behaved, happy girl that they’ve ever met! Seriously, my foster mom has to book extra time in the morning to walk me because of how much we get stopped! I’m that adorable, and no one can resist coming up to say hi to me!
I’m the quintessential puppy: wiggly, snuggly, eager to please, and so so sweet! I live by the motto ‘play hard, nap hard, love hard’, and I do all those things in equal measure! I love life so much!!! There is always something exciting to smell, or eat, or sniff, or play with! My tail is pretty much always wagging, and I put my whole heart into everything I do!
My foster mom says that one of the cutest things about me is that I sometimes get so excited about 2 different activities that I have to run back and forth between them! For example, when I’m having a snack, I’ll notice my foster mom sitting on the couch, and I just have to dash over to give her some quick kisses before going back to my bone!
If you’re looking for a social pup, I’m your girl! I’ve yet to meet a dog I don’t like, and I want to be everybody’s best friend. If someone even glances in my direction, I’ll flip over onto my back in case they want to rub my belly. Anytime my foster mom sits down on the ground, I get right in her lap to cuddle, and I love when I get to nap with her on the couch. When we’re out and about or have company, I make myself everybody's best friend. I’ve been told I have an irresistible charm (I think it has to do with my super soft ears and wiggly booty), and everyone I meet wants to take me home. Lucky for you, that’s actually an option!
In addition to being 100% adorable, I’m also amazingly well-behaved for being so young. I’m quiet in the house, I’m potty trained, and I’m really good in my crate, even overnight! My foster mom goes into the office a few days a week, and I’m a champ at napping in my crate when she’s gone. I’m also good at settling outside my crate. I like to chew my bones in my bed while my foster mom works from home, or snooze under her desk. She says I’m her favorite co-worker ever!
Want to hear another really awesome thing about me? I’m a super smart cookie who loves to learn! I already know ‘sit’ and ‘come’ and I’m working on ‘place’, ‘stay’, and ‘down’. I also walk really well on leash, and I’m a great listener. I don’t chew on things I’m not supposed to, I’m easily re-directed on the rare occasion I’m sniffing around the counters for cheese, and I’m totally good with being picked up and carried. Even though I just moved to D.C., I’m adjusting to the city really well too! I’m a pro at our building’s elevator, and I’m not bothered by the noise of the city when we’re inside. Outside, big noises make me a little nervous, but I just stay close to my foster mom, and then I feel better!
All that to say, I’m basically the perfect puppy, and would be the best addition ever to any pack. Whoever adopts me is going to be “the luckiest human in D.C” (that’s a quote from my foster mom), and I can’t wait to meet them! If you’re ready to win the canine lotto, apply to adopt me today!
