Hi, I’m Harry! I’m a 3-year-old male Boxer mix, weighing 45 lbs, and I’ve got a heart full of love and a spirit that’s unbreakable. My loyalty is rock solid, and I’ve got a sharp mind that loves to explore and learn. I’m also a big sweetheart – my playful, goofy antics will keep you smiling all day long.
I’m curious about the world, always ready to inspire you to see things through my eyes. I love to have fun and make you laugh with my playful energy, and I’ve got the bravery to match. I’m super friendly with other dogs and really thrive when I’ve got some canine friends around.
Though I’ve had a bit of a rough start, I’m blossoming more every day, showing just how resilient I am. I may need a little extra TLC when it comes to nutrition, but trust me – the joy, love, and companionship I bring is worth it! I’m playful, energetic, and cuddly, and I’d love to be the perfect companion in your home. I’m current on my vaccinations, dewormed, and although I’m heartworm positive, I’m ready to find my forever family. Let’s make some amazing memories together!
Harry tested positive for heartworm and will need to undergo treatment once they arrive in the DMV, either while in foster or once they are with their adopter. RDR will cover the cost of the heartworm treatment through our vet partner. If the adopter would prefer to complete treatment at their vet, RDR will reimburse up to the treatment cost through our vet partner. During treatment, they need restricted exercise to short leashed walks only, and they need a fairly quiet home where they aren’t going to be overstimulated too much. Once the treatment is complete and they get the all clear from the vet, they will be able to live a totally normal/unrestricted life like any other dog. Dogs should be retested 9-12 months after treatment is completed and every year afterwards as part of their annual exam.
