My foster guardian says: “My favorite thing about Ellis is how he’ll throw his own toys around!”
Likes: Hiking, walks, playing with other dogs
Hi, I’m Ellis!
My foster family describes me as a sweet, mellow, handsome boy. I’m a little shy, but I have a lot of love to share, and I’m so glad when someone can see past my nervous nature to see that. I like playing with other dogs, and I’m a friendly pup with people too! I’m quite a cuddly guy, and I love to snuggle up with my humans.
Life in the big city is a bit overwhelming to me, and I can be a little nervous. I like to take things slow, and spend a lot of my time snoozing in spots that feel safe. Every once in a while, I get a burst of energy, and then I’m off and playing! I’ll even throw my own toys in the air so I can chase and catch them!
When I go out on a walk, my favorite thing to do is sniff. I have a really great nose, and I promise I’ll help you find all the best spots when we’re out together. I’m also good at walking on a leash! I’m pretty well-trained overall, actually. I already know how to sit, and I have good manners in the house.
I’m looking for a family that will be patient with me while I’m gaining some bravery, and who will appreciate all the wonderful parts of my sweet, gentle personality in the meantime. Do you think that family could be yours?
