Hi there! I’m Duncan, a 13-month-old, 23-pound mixed breed with a big heart and a playful spirit. I may look like a tiny puppy, but I’m all grown up and past the wild puppy stage. I’m house-trained, well-mannered, and know how to "sit" on command—especially if there’s a treat involved! My foster mom says I’m one of the friendliest little guys she’s met, and I love showing off my gentle side. I’m a polite eater, sitting patiently while my foster mom enjoys her meals, even if she’s not the best at sharing. When it’s time for treats, I take them gently, and I’m more than happy to earn a reward for sitting calmly. I’ve got a playful side too, which comes out when I meet other dogs. I’m a regular at doggy daycare, where I’ve made tons of friends and even keep up with the big dogs. My ideal day includes some playtime, a couple of nice long walks, and a cozy nap with my favorite humans.
Though I’m full of energy, I know when to settle down. After a busy day of play and adventure, I’m all about curling up for a restful nap. My foster mom tells me I’m super affectionate, and I’ll happily snuggle up on the couch if you invite me. I’ve got a curious spirit and sometimes get excited to meet new people or dogs on our walks, especially when I’m with my foster brother. We’re working on staying calm when other dogs bark or when neighbors want to say hello. I’m improving every day, and my foster mom says I’m making amazing progress. She even took me to an adoption event where I met new people and was on my best behavior.
I’d be a great fit for an active family who loves outdoor adventures, or even a first-time dog owner looking for a friendly, easy-going companion. With me by your side, you’ll have a loyal friend ready to make you laugh, explore with you, and offer endless love and companionship.
My foster guardian says: “Duncan is an absolute delight! He’s energetic and social, with a goofy, friendly nature. His playful side shines at doggy daycare, but he’s also quick to settle in for a cozy nap after a fun day. He’s well-behaved, waits patiently, and is incredibly treat-motivated—he’ll sit calmly whenever he thinks a reward might be coming. Duncan’s excitement around other dogs and people is something we’re working on, and he’s making great progress!”
Likes: Playing with other dogs, meeting new people, long walks, treats, snuggling, and cozy naps
My ideal home: I’d do great with an active family who loves playtime as much as I do! I’m apartment-appropriate, good for first-time dog owners, and would thrive with a family who enjoys going on adventures. I’d also be a great fit for active seniors looking for a fun, affectionate companion.
