Hi, I’m Dolly, and I’m a real doll! Well, actually I’m a dog, but everyone who meets me says that I’m incredibly happy, sweet, and a joy to be around!
My foster family says that I’m an awesome blend of laid back and ready for anything! I like to spend my days snuggling with my people on the couch, going for walks, and playing with my toys. My favorite game is fetch! I think I’m just one big break away from being scouted by the Nats, that’s how good I am at catching flyballs!
I’m a very smart girly, and I know a lot of tricks. My current repertoire includes ‘sit’, ‘stay’, and ‘heel’. I’m also crate trained and potty trained, which makes me extra easy! I’m quite low maintenance, and content with just a walk or two a day for exercise, but I’d also love to join a family who will take me on adventures! Runs, hikes, trips to the ice cream store, count me in!
Something I’m currently working on is walking politely on a leash, and greeting other dogs calmly. I love daycare and playing at the park, but I get so excited to make new friends that I sometimes forget my manners on leash. My foster family says I’m very eager to please, and that I’ve made amazing progress with my training since they’ve had me. They think I could learn just about anything my forever family wants to teach me!
My ideal family will be people who are willing to work with me on my leash skills, who love to throw a ball for fetch (because, I’ll be honest, I’m best at the running part of that game), and who have a really cozy couch where I can lounge during the day. In return, I promise to be the most loyal, loving, lick-y friend you’ve ever had!
If all that sounds good to you, no need to travel to Yonkers to meet your perfect match, just say ‘Hello Dolly!” and apply to adopt me today!
