Hickory, Dickory, Dock and Mouse's parents were a bluetick coonhound and an Australian cattle dog. The owner had both parents and were bottle raised after their mother had been killed by a car. They are very friendly and social pups!

Hey there, I'm Dickory – the sweetest and cutest little dude you'll ever meet! Let me give you the lowdown on my awesome puppy life. First things first, I'm a pro at night – sleeping through the night in my cozy crate is my jam, and no accidents, thank you very much! Crate life? I'm rocking it.
Now, daytime potty training is a bit of a work in progress, especially in the evenings. But I'm putting in the effort and making strides. I'm a master at entertaining myself with toys, but I'm all about human or dog playmates too. And naps? Oh, they're my absolute favorite – can't resist a good naptime.
I'm a lover of both people and dogs. Seriously, I thrive in a house with other pups. A furry friend helps me burn off some of this puppy energy. Cuddles on the couch? Yes, please! I love being near people and doing my own thing. And did I mention I'm a foodie? If you have treats, we're going to get along just fine.
Now, walks are still a bit new to me, so having a yard or a grassy area nearby is perfect for my exploring adventures. I can be a tad nippy, but don't worry, I'm easily redirected. Throughout the day, I require some general observation, but I'm cool with hopping into my crate when my humans need to get stuff done. They say I'm manageable, and for a true puppy like me, things have been easier than expected. I'm just a happy little guy enjoying the puppy life!
As for training, well, let's just say I'm a work in progress. House training is a priority, and I'm learning the ropes of leash/walk training. I need to curb my habit of chewing things that aren't toys and nipping at humans, but hey, I'm getting there!
My energy level is moderate, and my daily routine involves a mix of playtime, naps, walks, and bathroom breaks. A yard is highly recommended for me, considering my age and general fearfulness. I can be a bit vocal, and I have my quirks, like being anxious in the city and preferring quiet surroundings.
I'm a playful, timid, affectionate, intelligent, and even-tempered little guy. I can't wait to find my forever home where I can share all the love I've got to give.
A few things to consider before applying to adopt a puppy:
Puppies require a lot of upfront work including both obedience and house training
Puppies cannot be left home alone for long periods while they are young
You might need to ‘puppy-proof’ your home before bringing one home
My foster guardian says: “
Dickery is the sweetest puppy who is working hard to please his humans! He loves to be near people and is also fine doing his own thing. He is still getting used to city noises but does okay on short walks around the neighborhood. He sleeps well in his crate and is always down for a belly rub!”
Likes:
Chew toys, bones, food, belly rubs, being indoors
Dislikes:
Loud noises like fireworks, car horns, big trucks, and construction
My ideal home:
While still a young puppy, Dickery would benefit from having someone who works from home or can be with him throughout the day. He loves meeting dogs on walks and has spent the afternoon with another dog and did quite well! Another dog might help with his puppy energy.
