I'm not quite ready to go to my new home.

Daisy

I'm in the Recovery Room - I'll Be Available Soon

Hello, I’m Daisy! I’m a bubbly little lady weighing around 15-20 lbs. Despite my uncertain past, I’m friendly, outgoing, and love to spread joy wherever I go! I’m full of life and always ready to make new friends. I’ve been through a lot, but that hasn’t dampened my spirits. I’m currently heartworm positive, but the good news is that I’m being treated and on my way to feeling much better. I’m sweet, affectionate, and would thrive in a loving, stable home where I can finally enjoy the care I deserve. If you’re looking for a loyal, cheerful companion, I’m the one for you! The nice folks at RDR will update my profile when they learn more about me. I cannot wait to find a forever home where I can share all the love I've got to give.

Daisy tested positive for heartworm and will need to undergo treatment once they arrive in the DMV, either while in foster or once they are with their adopter. RDR will cover the cost of the heartworm treatment through our vet partner. If the adopter would prefer to complete treatment at their vet, RDR will reimburse up to the treatment cost through our vet partner. During treatment, they need restricted exercise to short leashed walks only, and they need a fairly quiet home where they aren’t going to be overstimulated too much. Once the treatment is complete and they get the all clear from the vet, they will be able to live a totally normal/unrestricted life like any other dog. Dogs should be retested 9-12 months after treatment is completed and every year afterwards as part of their annual exam.
