Hi there, I’m Daisy! I may be almost 14, but don’t let my age fool you—I’ve still got plenty of pep in my step! I’m pretty spry and love going for walks, trotting along with my cute prance that always gets heads turning. But don’t worry, I’m also a professional napper and spend most of my day snoozing. If you’re looking for a mellow companion who doesn’t need tons of exercise, I’m your girl. I’m perfectly happy lounging around, but I can keep up on walks and enjoy getting out for some fresh air.
I’m happiest when I’m close to my person, so you’ll often find me following you from room to room like your little shadow. Some call me a "Velcro dog" because I like to stick close, but I just love being around my human! I’m not much for playing with toys, but I do love to snuggle up with cozy blankets, towels, or anything soft. While I’m not the type to crawl into your lap, I do like to sleep near you and will happily wag my tail for a gentle pat.
I’m pretty easygoing with other dogs—especially calm ones—but I prefer to do my own thing most of the time. I’ll politely ignore them and go about my day. My eyesight and hearing might not be what they used to be, and I do need to get up a few times at night for water, but that doesn’t slow me down much! I’m healthy for my age, and you wouldn’t know I’m a senior by the way I trot around with confidence.
One of my quirkiest traits is my spunky, independent personality. I might be a bit reserved, but I’ve got a playful side too—especially in the evenings when I get a burst of energy and explore around the house. Sometimes I even find a tissue or two to shred for fun! I’ve also recently discovered there’s a loft in my home, and I’m very curious about what adventures might await up there.
So, if you’re looking for a sweet, low-maintenance companion who will happily nap the day away and be your loyal shadow, I’m the perfect match. I might be small, but I’ve got a lot of love to give!
My foster guardian says: “Daisy is very cute and sweet and at times funny and goofy (for example a few times she has danced around my dog and rubbed herself up against her). She also likes to roll around and rub things like couch cushions. She also likes to scratch and burrow and roll around on towels sheets shirts small rugs etc that are on the floor.”
