Hi, I’m Cardinal, and I’m ready to spread my wings and find my forever family! 

I'm confident and happy go lucky, especially when I'm with my people!  I’m really well-behaved, and never chew on anything I’m not supposed to.  I save all the chewing for my bones! I love a good snack or treat, and that makes me really easy to train.  When I'm waiting for my food to be ready, I do the cutest little dance that my foster family calls 'tippy tap toes!' 

I like everybody, and I’m even friendly with strangers.  I also enjoy playing with other dogs! I especially like to play with tennis balls, whether that's fetch, or stealing them from other dogs at the park and getting them to chase me! Best game ever!

I also get really excited about walks (I'm great on leash!), and sniffing all the smells.  One of the funniest things about me is that I'm a total gearhead! I love sniffing cars, riding in cars, thinking about cars. If there's a car involved, I'm all about it! That, combined with my love for playing outside means I'd be a great fit for an active family.  Sign me up for all the adventures!

For as much energy as I have, during the work day, I’m the chillest guy you’ve ever met.  I love to keep my foster company while she’s working from home.   My foster says that I'm just the right mix of playful and chill. She’s right! I'm a couch potato at home, and a ball of energy at the dog park! 

My favorite place to be is with my people.  I wish I could have them around to cuddle all the time! One of my favorite activities is joining my foster family for a movie on the couch.  Though it's not my favorite activity, my foster family says I've been doing a great job at learning how to stay home alone in my crate.  I’m even brave enough to sleep in my crate overnight now!  

I’m a quick learner all around, actually.  I’m already potty trained, I know how to sit, and shake, and I’m working on "stay." I’m practicing every day, so I can learn how to be the best behaved boy ever for my new family!
