I've found my furever family!

I'm a high-energy puppy who absolutely loves running around in the yard, exploring every nook and cranny. Toys are my absolute favorite, although I'm still working on figuring out what's a toy and what's off-limits. I've got the hang of redirection, though, so I'm getting better every day. I'm a social butterfly who thrives on affection. If you're up for it, I'll nuzzle my snout on your lap to score a head pat, or I'll just lie down next to you, hoping for a belly rub. And kisses? Oh, I'm all in for those! I've got this leash walking thing down, although doing my business on a walk is a bit tricky. I'm still working on going to the bathroom on a leash, but have had a few accidents in the home in the meantime. I would do better in a home with a yard until I get my house training down, unless my owner is willing to give me lots of walks throughout the day. My crate is like my little den, and I can spend long hours there without any fuss. I've got a routine going too, with walks, yard time, meals, and breaks – everything a pup needs! Speaking of energy, I've got a lot of it! Long walks, playing fetch, and those spontaneous zoomies – count me in! But, I've got a bit of a jumping habit, so smaller kids might not be my best playmates. Oh, did I mention I like digging? It's just one of those things I enjoy. And yes, I can be a tad mouthy when I'm feeling playful, so I might need a bit of guidance there. I'm great with other dogs, but here's the catch – I might not pick up on the signals when it's time to tone down the rough play. So, finding dogs with a similar energy level is key. As for training, I need to work on some of my basic commands - like sit and place. I also am working on not jumping on other people especially when I get excited. On the positive side, I'm leash trained, crate trained, love car rides, and I'm an affectionate goofball. I can’t wait to find my forever home where I can share all the love I’ve got to give! My foster guardian says: “ She'll come up to the humans and nuzzle her snout on their lap to get a head pat, or she'll lay down next to them to get a belly pat. She'll also accept lots of kisses!” "She's a cutie and she knows it! Get ready to be love bombed by Athena and have the greatest companion" Likes: Running around the yard (zoomies!), being petted, and chewing on toys - especially my kong! Dislikes: Nothing, really! My ideal home: Athena's ideal home will have adopters who are active and can give Athena mental and physical stimulation to drain her energy. They will need to understand that although she's a pretty well trained dog (leach, house, crate trained) she does need some house training and behavior training for her chewing/mouthiness and energy level. Athena would do great in a yard with a quieter area: she has been fine in the city but loud trucks startle her and sometimes distract her.
