Hi, I’m Astro! I’m the sweetest love bug you’ll ever meet, and I’m always up for fun. I’m a curious, playful pup who loves exploring the world around me—whether it’s meeting new dogs, greeting people, or checking out new places. I enjoy running, playing, and chewing on toys, but once I’ve gotten my zoomies out, I’m more than happy to snuggle up for some quiet time. I’m still learning my basic commands, but I’m a quick learner, especially if treats are involved!
I’ve got medium energy, so I love getting outside for long walks, hikes, or a good run around the yard. Once I’ve had my exercise, though, I settle in and nap for hours. Just give me a little time to get comfortable in my new home, and I’ll be the perfect balance of playful and relaxed. One of my favorite things is playing chase—either chasing or being chased! I’ve got some pretty cute moves when I’m running around, and I’m super curious, like my nickname “Curious George” suggests.
While I’m full of energy, I’m also working on my training. I know a few commands like “come,” “off,” and “leave it,” but I still need some help with leash walking and basic obedience. I might pull on the leash a bit until I’ve gotten some energy out, but I’m always excited to meet new people and other dogs on my walks.
I love making new dog friends and would do great in a home with another dog to play with. My ideal home would have a yard for me to run around in and someone who can spend time with me. I’d love a family that’s active, maybe with another dog, but I’d be happy with first-time dog owners too, as long as they’re around to hang out with me. If you’re looking for a fun, playful, and loving companion, I’m your guy!
My foster guardian says: “Astro could be nicknamed curious george for how interested he is in every dog, person, home and surroundings! I love to see him chase and be chased as he has the cutest moves!”
Likes: Walks, hikes, dog parks, running, zoomies
My ideal home: I’d love a home and another dog as a companion, but I’d do well in a variety of homes as long as I get the exercise and attention that I need!
