I'm not quite ready to go to my new home.

Annie

I'm in the Recovery Room - I'll Be Available Soon

Hi, I’m Annie! I’m a sweet and curious girl who loves to take in the world around me—whether that’s sniffing along a trail, exploring a new toy, or just watching the world go by. I may be a little shy at first, especially with new people or situations, but once I feel safe, my tail starts to wag and my true personality shines through.

Gentle is my middle name. I get along kindly with everyone I meet, and I’m happiest when I’m sharing quiet moments or going on a peaceful stroll with someone I trust. Life doesn’t need to be fast or flashy for me—I’m all about enjoying the little things and building a bond that lasts.

If you're looking for a loyal companion who’s soft-hearted, soulful, and ready to blossom with a little love and patience, I just might be your girl. I can’t wait to find a home where I can feel safe, loved, and right where I belong.

Annie tested positive for heartworm and will need to undergo treatment once they arrive in the DMV, either while in foster or once they are with their adopter. RDR will cover the cost of the heartworm treatment through our vet partner. If the adopter would prefer to complete treatment at their vet, RDR will reimburse up to the treatment cost through our vet partner. During treatment, they need restricted exercise to short leashed walks only, and they need a fairly quiet home where they aren’t going to be overstimulated too much. Once the treatment is complete and they get the all clear from the vet, they will be able to live a totally normal/unrestricted life like any other dog. Dogs should be retested 9-12 months after treatment is completed and every year afterwards as part of their annual exam.
