I've found my furever family!

Hey there! My name’s Cookie, and I’m as sweet as they come!

My foster mom likes to describe me as "the most perfect, darling, precious, gorgeous, angel baby puppy ever in the entire world”.

Honestly? That’s pretty accurate. 

I’d also add ‘unbelievably smart’, to that descriptor.  I know my name, and ‘sit’, ‘down’, ‘wait’ (my foster mom makes me wait at the crosswalks), and ‘let’s go!’.  I also know that I need to sit down next to the door so I can get my harness on before we go out, and that I can’t charge out of the elevator until my human says its okay. 

Once we’re out in the world, I pretty much stay my awesome self! I’m friendly with all people and dogs, and squirrels! I’m pretty great on leash, but I do pull occasionally towards other dogs because I want to play (check out the video of me playing with one of my best buddies!).  If my foster mom calls my name though, I’m all ears! I’m a great listener, and I pretty much do what she asks 100% of the time.  Because I’m such a well-behaved pup, I get to go a lot of places with her! I’ve been out to eat tons, to a Spirit soccer game, to farmers markets, on car rides, hikes, runs, to dog parks, and all kinds of shopping trips.  I'm super chill, regardless of the situation.  Loud noises, lights flashing, kids screaming, flying objects, etc., nothing fazes me! The one thing I don't love is swimming, so if you're looking for a paddleboard buddy, I'd rather watch from the shore. 

As much as I like keeping an active social calendar, my absolute favorite activity is snuggling.  Whenever my foster mom sits down, I take that as an invitation to get as close as is physically possible to her. One of the cutest things I do (If I do say so myself), is curling up in a perfectly round doughnut in my foster mom's lap every morning when I come out of my crate.  Ideally, I would be in her lap 100% of the time, but sometimes she puts her laptop right in the place where I belong, so I’m forced to sleep next to her.  Such is life.  I also like being picked up and held, though I promise I’m not demanding, and I do have a concept of personal space. When my foster mom is working, I head over to one of my favorite sleeping spots, and don't push for attention.  I know she's busy making treat money!

My favorite thing in the world might be cuddling, but I’m actually good with alone time too.  I silently sleep in my crate like an absolute legend every night, and I don’t mind resting in there throughout the day.  I'm even great in my crate when my foster mom has to leave for a bit. I know she's coming back, so I just chill with my bone or take a little nap.  My preferred mode of communication is pointed looks towards the snack jar, or giving lots of kisses. 

So that’s me! Clever, caring, cuddly Cookie! I would do great in pretty much any family, but especially one with humans who can bring me along on adventures, and who have a little extra time in their day for lots of cuddles.  I can’t wait to meet my forever family!
