Hi, I’m Gemie, and I’m a gem of a dog! 

Everyone says so, from my foster family to the people we meet out on walks, aka my new best friends! 

I’m a social, happy guy who loves to greet everyone I meet.  I love meeting other dogs too, and one of my favorite activities is a good wrestling match at the dog park! 

I’m a smart guy, and I know a bunch of tricks like ‘sit’, ‘down’, and ‘come’.  Whether I choose to listen when someone asks me to do them…thats another story! I’m an independent thinker! Its a beagle thing.  

I am also super sweet, loving, and affectionate.  I live for chin scratches, but will accept any kind of pets and snuggles happily.  Really, I just love getting all the attention.  My foster family calls me the lovebug, because I’m just so cuddly!

I don’t so much love stairs, or loud noises that startle me.  But then again, I know more than one human who would say the same.  I’m building confidence everyday,  and my foster family thinks that I’ll get braver and braver as time goes on and I learn that lots of scary things are actually okay.
