Hi there, I'm Zuma! I’m playful, curious, and love a good adventure! I feel my best when I can lie down with someone, get some pets, and hear that I’m a good boy. I love playing with my toys while my people are close by, and that really soothes me. When it comes to toys, I prefer things with a bit of give, like rubber toys or rawhide. I snooze throughout the day and will have short bursts of puppy energy which last about 10-20 minutes, and then I'm back to sleeping. I'm a sweet and loveable dog!

At night, I sleep right next to the bed on a mattress pad, and once I settle in, I’m out for the whole night — no accidents or needing to go outside! In the morning, as soon as I wake up, I head outside to do my business. I’m pretty smart and pick up on routines quickly. Whether it’s going for long walks, riding in the car, going on a hike, or even hopping on a boat, I’m always up for some fun.

I’m easy to redirect on a leash and don’t react to distractions like squirrels or cars, except when I get excited and want to show some love to another dog or person. With a little more training and routine, I’ll be an amazing addition to any family. 

My foster guardian says: “Zuma has a very loving and trusting nature, plus he is very affectionate and incredibly smart.” "Zuma is like sunshine in dog form! I love how sweet he is to everyone he meets. Everyone who meets Zuma, from friends to strangers, comment on how calm and gentle he is."
