Likes: Riding in the car, walks (especially on trails), playing at the dog park, swimming (started swimming at the dog beach last summer and would love to do more!)

Hi there! My name’s Shamrock, and I’d be the luckiest find for any family!

My foster family calls me ‘a gem of a dog’, and I’ll tell you why!

I get along with absolutely everyone (human and canine alike), I’m trained, and of course I’m totally adorable! My foster family says that I’m a loving, happy, smart dog, with lots of energy, curiosity and a great sense of play.

I’m amazing with other dogs and make new friends every time I leave the house. Everybody calls me “The Mayor of the Dog Park” because before I run off to play, I like to greet every other dog owner whenever I first arrive to the dog park! I have to make sure that everybody gets some Shamrock love to brighten their day! Once I’m ready to play, my favorite things to do are to run, wrestle, and play tug with all dogs, tiny and large. In my forever home, I’d love to have a doggy sibling to play with, or some human buddies who love to have a good time!

My foster family calls me “an absolute whiz”, because I’m so clever at food puzzles and learning new tricks! I like to keep my brain busy, so I love interactive food toys and games. I’m totally house trained and really good about relaxing in the house. I like to be free-range in the house but am working on crate-training. I am very chill when left home alone (as long as I get my breaks.

I’m a hound, which means that I’m an amazing communicator (see above, I’m the mayor!). So, don’t be surprised if you hear me make my opinion known. I’m very well-behaved and polite, but I do like to vocalize! You should hear my human-like sigh as I settle down to sleep.
