Financial Reports

At Rural Dog Rescue, we strongly believe in being open and honest with our donors and adopters regarding how our money is received and exactly how that money is spent. Below are the links to our financial information, and our tax-exempt certifications. If, at any time, you have any questions concerning how our funds are expended or received, or you would like copies of our income tax filings, please feel free to email us at contact@ruraldogrescue.com.

As an all-volunteer organization, we have very few administrative expenses and no salaries which need to be funded. Only a very small percentage of all expenses do not relate directly to the dogs' needs. These expenses include such things as accountant's fees for tax filings, paper, postage, advertising, etc. These fees are always paid from the income generated from our adoptions or our volunteers pockets - never from publically donated funds. ALL donated funds are used only to pay direct dog need costs - primarily veterinary care, medications and food (although the food is often paid from our foster parents' pockets).

Rural Dog Rescue is a non-profit organization that saves the lives of dogs in high-kill shelters in rural areas with euthanasia rates of 70% or higher. We save strays that can be euthanized 72 hours after they are found, and owner surrenders that can be euthanized immediately if the shelter is full. Rural Dog Rescue, Inc. is a certified not-for-profit 501c(3), #45-3100623. Your charitable contribution is fully tax-deductible: no services or benefits are provided in exchange for contributions.

There are so many deserving organizations competing for the ever-shrinking donation dollar, we hope that this information will help you in making an informed decision.
