I'm not quite ready to go to my new home.

Symphony

I'm in the Recovery Room - I'll Be Available Soon

Hi, I'm Symphony! I may be a mature lady, but I still have plenty of pep in my step and love to enjoy life's little adventures. I'm a sweet, friendly girl with a mellow personality that's perfectly balanced by a fun, spunky side. One of my favorite things is cuddling up with my people, and I'm happiest when we're spending quiet time together. I may be pint-sized, but my heart is overflowing with love, and I'm ready to share it with my forever family. I've also done well with the other dogs I've met at the shelter. If you're looking for a gentle, affectionate companion to brighten your days, I just might be the perfect match. The nice folks at RDR will update my profile when they learn more about me. I cannot wait to find a forever home where I can share all the love I've got to give.

Symphony tested positive for heartworm and will need to undergo treatment once they arrive in the DMV, either while in foster or once they are with their adopter. RDR will cover the cost of the heartworm treatment through our vet partner. If the adopter would prefer to complete treatment at their vet, RDR will reimburse up to the treatment cost through our vet partner. During treatment, they need restricted exercise to short leashed walks only, and they need a fairly quiet home where they aren’t going to be overstimulated too much. Once the treatment is complete and they get the all clear from the vet, they will be able to live a totally normal/unrestricted life like any other dog. Dogs should be retested 9-12 months after treatment is completed and every year afterwards as part of their annual exam.
