Hi, I’m Louise! I’m a sweet and friendly girl with a goofy personality and a big heart. I love making people smile with my playful antics, and I’m always ready for a fun game or a cozy cuddle session with my favorite people. I’m a curious girl who loves exploring the world around me, so I’ll need a family who can help me safely enjoy all the adventures life has to offer. With a secure home and plenty of love, I know I’ll be the perfect companion. The nice folks at RDR will update my profile when they learn more about me. I cannot wait to find a forever home where I can share all the love I’ve got to give.
Louise tested positive for heartworm and will need to undergo treatment once they arrive in the DMV, either while in foster or once they are with their adopter. RDR will cover the cost of the heartworm treatment through our vet partner. If the adopter would prefer to complete treatment at their vet, RDR will reimburse up to the treatment cost through our vet partner. During treatment, they need restricted exercise to short leashed walks only, and they need a fairly quiet home where they aren’t going to be overstimulated too much. Once the treatment is complete and they get the all clear from the vet, they will be able to live a totally normal/unrestricted life like any other dog. Dogs should be retested 9-12 months after treatment is completed and every year afterwards as part of their annual exam.
